Takes more than a raw, cold day to stop Brownie Troop 570 from selling cookies
And Saturday March 16 was cold at Wal-Mart
But Brownie Troop 570 was there to sell Girl Scout Cookies to support Girl Scout programs and bundled up. The tables were set outside at the two entrances to Wal-Mart so the girls could occasionally duck into Wal-Mart for a little warmth.
The tables were there from 10:00am to 2:00pm with the Brownies taking shifts at the tables. Troop leader, Grace Davison, was there for the full 4 hours assisted by volunteer (and son) Ben Davison.
Grace would like to thank Wal-Mart for its support and the Wal-Mart patrons who enthusiastically loaded up with cookies. Great treat for families - and it is the major fund raiser for Girl Scout projects.
Brownies who are not in the pictures (pictures taken at the early shift) include: Paige Rosenberger, Chelsea Barton, Emily Rogers, Carina Davison, Desiray Swears, Mikali Catone and Brittany Gage.
